Personal License Application

A personal licence is a requirement of any new premises licence application, whereby a person needs to be named as the responsible person on the premises licence application. To be accepted in this position a person would need to be a personal licence holder. Also in some premises the premises licence holder may require more than one personal licence holder, this may be for added responsibility amongst the staff at busy times or for functions etc.

Qualification(s) Required:

The applicant would need to have a licensing qualification; it is called The APLH, which is the Award for Personal Licence Holders. This could be done either by attending a one day course in a classroom setting or by completing an online course in he clients own time frame.

The Cost:

The Classroom based course is £140.00 plus VAT.   £168.00.

The Online course is £150.00 plus VAT.  £180.00.

Additional Costs:

The fees associated with a personal licence application is £122.00, this is the same for classroom or online.

There are £72.00 in fees to the appropriate council and DBS service and £50.00 in fees for DH Licensing.

The only other client cost would be to purchase 2 passport size photos which are need for the application process.
